Okay I know this has been brought up before, but my heart absolutely breaks for Homura in the main series. Like this girl was just trying her best.

No matter how many times she went back, she kept growing further and further away from her friends, the people who welcomed her with open arms.. how painful must that be. Comparable to real life, because it does happen.

And I read a phenomenal Mami/Homura story that paints her reality beautifully. Homura kept going back and it was a different outcome every time, some of them were good.

(Also I like to headcanon that one of the timelines was mostly happy and the quintet were all great friends. One day they take a group photo and Homura keeps it in her shield to this day)
